Shed Vines

In this photo from just a few days ago, these scarlet trumpet flower vines were a brilliant chartreuse. In the last two days of rain, they seem much more yellow, and ready to fall. This shed sometimes serves as a home for Fifi (le Velocipede).

Tomorrow, look for photos from Saturday's 5th annual Willits Photo Club photo show.

Glad Fifi has a good home to sleep in.
Looking forward to the Photo Club show post. Heard that someone I know is exhibiting! Great.

Wow! What a great photo, Elaine. I love the colors and the asymmetry. That vine is gorgeous! Well done.

Will they grow back again? I hope they do — I think they're lovely! Fifi sure has a nice place to stay.

Elaine: looking forward to tomorrows post, I bet your at the opening now..but, we have cat trouble over at my post. The cat ladys gone mad! Altadena Hiker is keeping her cat hostage (stay tuned: if not now, the post is expected later). It's all such a sordid affair.

Glad to hear Fifi has a roof over her head :) Also that you've finally got some rainfall. It was a long dry summer and fall!

This image jumped out in the portal. These colours only nature could make not to clash.

Dina - You heard right, sister. 6^)

DCC - Thank you! Surprising what you can find in your own back yard, if you look on the right day.

Hilda - There's no question that these vines will grow back. They spread into the walls and pull the boards apart. They spread under the concrete slab of the floor and grow up through the cracks inside. There is no keeping them down.

PA - A kitty cornered is not to be trifled with!

Chuck - The city of Willits had us moving into stage four conservation restrictions, with fears of a dry November. This was just what the doctor ordered, and we may get a few more days of sprinkles yet. *yay!*

Babooska - The palette is sort of fascinating, isn't it? I think that very dark, smoky brown makes a perfect foil for the other two.

Thanks everyone!

Careful that it doesn't eat the shed.

This is one of those shots that Benjamin calls "Elaine's Gems." A quiet beauty it is. Fifi has some nice digs.

Being from Pasadena, of course, I have an affinity to all things vine-like or ivy-like growing up decrepit walls. The stunning light green is making me fall in love.

Should I send Mlle G over to pluck a song?

Kris - I take it you've seen Little Shop of Horrors.

P - I love you.

Miss H - Tell her I'm especially partial to Rhythm and Blues, Funk, Soul... you get the idea. 6^) Your post had me running to iTunes to listen to The Spinners' "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love".

Oh! I think you need some ,Rev. Al GREEN

Miss H - That's not to say other things aren't perfectly welcome...!

OMG! I'm stunned and amazed! I LUUUUUVVVV Al Green!

That's it. I'm moving to Pasadena. Goodbye, Willits. It's been nice.

You love Rev. Al? Great. I love him, too. This one is good but has a weird ripper thingy goin' on--whatever I don't know what it's called, the instrument it's cool though.

This one is my favorite click here

I like your favorite too! "I Can't Get Next To You" is another grand pelvic mover, I'm tellin' ya. Oh, wait. Other people are reading this.

If you ever get a chance to rent "Two Weeks Notice" really cheap or free, jump to the last scene where the protagonists fulfill their destiny. The filmmakers got Al Green to do a strange mashup of the titles of all his hits into a vague recap of all his hit tunes. I've never seen it offered as an audio track anywhere. (Now there's a challenge.) 8^)

That is a challenge. I will definitely Netflix that sucker.

I did find"I can't get next to you" Nice one.

"All" may be an exaggeration, but you get the idea.

Did you know he wrote "Take Me To the River"? I always thought it was a Talking Heads song that he covered, but I got it backwards.
