So pretty it hurts my eyes! What a capture, Elaine!

Yippee for that rain! Guess all the rain dancing paid off. :-)

We have these red vines here, too, and I am always taking photos of them. Yours is a very good shot!

It's like an Art Nouveau tiara for this cottage - what a great shot.
But having lived in the east for so long, when I see red vines, I immediately jump back and shriek "poison ivy! look out!"
oh, and I shriek like a girl. imagine that.

The much awaited rain is a good sign!

That red vine against the white wall is certainly an eye-catcher, Elaine! I love it.

I enjoyed your Indian story and the sound of your voice reading it in your new audio clip.

Autumn better be here. I got so excited by the drizzle we had here, I planted seeds today. Lots of 'em, including Fagiolo Rampicante Trionfo Violetto. Purple beans. You pay more when the seedpack is in Italian.

I saw the title and quickly clicked thinking I was going to get some juicy red licorice. Hah! You got me :)

Very pretty vine maple.

Thank you, everyone! It's still raining, and I'm sure the plants love it. I think this is Virginia Creeper, but I could be wrong. I know for sure that it isn't Poison Oak. I think the overcast day brought out the vivid color even more. The house looks like a well maintained Victorian, which is as old as anything gets around here.

Dina - I'm glad you liked it! I always encourage people to contribute to Librivox if they want to try.

AH - The rain is a blessing for California gardeners. Good luck!
