It's amazing how long some trees and bushes hang onto their foliage. Also surprising how hardy some hornets living behind the ceiling of my garage are, too. I figured they'd have died by now, but no ... saw a few very sluggish ones just a couple days ago. The temperatures have been as low as 18 in recent days. Surprises everywhere :)
Thank you so much, everyone. It does seem like some varieties of leaves turned later, and held on longer. But I don't keep track from year to year.
Hilda - Our local mountains have some snow on them, so don't count us out because of the name of our state. It ain't all like Los Angeles, 500 miles south of us.

a bit of yellow in my post today too :)
We never have fall in my country, the colors in your picture are beautiful.
Very nice persistent yellows!
I keep forgetting that Willits is in California so I was surprised to see greens and yellows rather than white. Duh.
No leaves on the trees here for a long time now.
Does it seem to you that fall foliage held on longer then usual this year?
Goodness, what a late autumn.
