Paying the Mechanic

With a new muffler and some belts successfully installed in my little old truck, my mechanic now has my payment in hand. It had to be done - the roaring and screeching from my Nissan was getting embarrassing. But Loren at Ron's Muffler always gets the work done on time and under budget.

Thank you to everyone who visited on yesterday's theme day post. It was so fun going around to so many cities, seeing the sights at the sites. There were a lot of events this weekend, and when I have more energy, I'll put up some of those.

That pretty pink flower must make parting with the money a bit easier!

He has a clean shirt. He must just take the money.

Glad you're more quiet now and maybe safer too.
Good idea for a photo.

RR - isn't that a nice peony? I think their bookkeeper brought it in.

Jim - it's a very clean shop (always a sign of careful work), and I've seen him under the lifts, etc. so I guess he just avoids the drips.

Dina - I'll bet the neighbors are glad I'm more quiet now as well.

Ouch! I bet that wasn't a fun check to write. The flower is beautiful!

Always good to know a reliable mechanic--and a guy named Loren!

(I know it's not an uncommon name, but when I was in first grade and there was a boy named Lauren in my class, I sure thought it was funny!)

Josy - Ah, but remember that it is a variation on Lawrence or Lorenzo, and that to call a girl that was once funny too! Leslie, Tracy, Beverley, and Hillary were all staunchly male names until little girls got saddled with them. But did we laugh at them? ;^) Thanks for stopping by.

Oh gosh! This reminds me that I need an oil change and an updated inspection!
