Customer Parking Only

My Zen Monday offering, um, delayed until Tuesday. Refrain from the desire to park.

If the grass growing on the edge means anything, it looks like nobody has parked there in awhile.

It looks like a dismal place to leave a car. When the garage doors open the car disappears. Only a few, scrappy, pieces are left in the parking spot when the owner returns.

the place looks a bit creepy but you really did a good shot on this! Captured even the feel of it! It's been a while Elaine since I've been here. Busy from college^^ Thanks for visiting Cavite Daily Photo^^

Horizontal and diagonal boards, and a triangle of light - you have some good feng shui going here in this photo. Zen indeed.

Without knowing the full context of the scene, I'd have expected the "No Parking" sign to have a bit more wear to it. Hmm, the zen is being overtaken by curiosity.

Beauty beauty beauty! This is a photo for my heart. I was a cowboy in a former life. Oh for shadows, dried grass and chipped paint.

I think you have eyes to see that something common could become interesting in your photo. Very interesting composition.

Ming, I haven't seen anyone park there. It's a double door garage-type building that stands right up near the edge of the narrow side street it's on, so normally it's illegal to park blocking "driveways" or garage entrances. The customers would be for the Real Estate office in a converted Victorian house next to it.

Abraham, I like the way you think! 8^) I've never seen the doors open, but I think they are sliders from the marks on the front of them.

Olivier, it is a quiet place, that's true.

Thanks Cavite, don't worry - your schooling must come first! I love geography too!

KG, Thanks! A lot of mixed directions could have gone very, very wrong. ;^)

Palm, a sign as old as the garage would have been fun to see, but no such luck.

Petrea, I'm pleased to serve your soul anything it needs (or remembers). Jack London did some writing that describes Mendocino county as it was a hundred years ago. His second wife's diary indicates they stayed in Willits for a night or two, while he worked on writing White Fang. I thought that was pretty cool.

iBlowfish, you are very kind! That means a lot coming from a photography artist like yourself! I'd love to see a gallery or book full of your photos.

Benjamin, you are my best blog-birth-buddy. Thanks for the support!

Uh huh. Looks like there is a LOT of competition for a place to park there!

Over at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo, instead 'Customer Parking Only', we have Visions of Hell.

It doesn't seem they have many customers from the shape of the building.

I especially like your composition of this photo--lines and lights/shadows.
Thanks for sharing!
