May Theme Day: Numbers

Dipping below half a tank. Distances are long in Mendocino county. Several choices beckon at the most intensively lit corner of Willits, the junction of 101 and 20, with three gasoline stations available all night. All high prices, going higher. If I can keep this old Nissan puttering for a few more years, the next vehicle I buy will be petroleum free. Here's hoping. Fingers crossed. It's all a numbers game.

City Photo Bloggers around the world participate in monthly theme days, with fascinating ideas for interpretation. Click here to view thumbnails for all the participants. The portal will lead you on a wonderful journey. Enjoy!

Clever, it is. I bet someone come with the price sign of petrol station.

About the portal, I also noticed the shuffling and I like the fact of randomness of page.

Yes, these are the numbers that many people think about these days. The days are long gone when you could say "fillerup" and drive away with change from a twenty. That'll tell you how old I am - I remember when a cup of coffee was a dime....

Those japanese cars not too bad at all, I traded my jeep cherokee for honda for the sake of spike high gasoline. I'll keep mine for another 3-4 years. Interesting post for theme of this month.

Nice one , Elaine. Clever thinking for a photograph. There's already a certain style to be seen on Willets DP.

It's good to see you recently on RuT..tks for dropping in.

Petrol prices???? Come on....America ain't seen nuthin'. Its almost US$ 10 per gallon here.

Sometimes the best photo subjects are hiding in plain sight. Good job on this one! Here's to elevating the ordinary.

With the price of gas, finding photo's without driving is a great idea. I think you're on to something here.

My gas tank is heading toward empty too. I dread looking at the price for gasoline tomorrow.

You're right, Elaine its all a numbers game and you have a very creative post with just that, long distances and pricey petrol. BTW I enjoyed your comments a few days ago on Abe Lincolns blog about your goose story. Very funny. Thank you for
sharing.
