Born To Be Wild

You might say the good news is it was 100 degrees today, because the bad news, according to my new current weather widget, is it "felt like" 108 degrees. For these guys, the air conditioning only works when they're moving, and they aren't moving because of the water main replacement work on Highway 101/Main Street. But we're looking for adventure, and whatever comes our way.

And no, I'm not used to it. My blood is still running thick from the frosty mornings we had just two weeks ago.

108 degrees? Where do you live? In the great desert...I am sorry that it is that hot already no matter where you live. We had a spring and summer something like that last year. It was nice in the spring and then became a dry oven the rest of the summer.

This spring has been perfect and Nature has responded with lush growth everywhere. Now if we can just get through summer without your intense heat and drought, and things get back to normal, for us, then it will have been a good year.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments there about spring house cleaning and stretching curtains and things.

I remember that heat when I lived in Queensland. And California. Remember recording the radio when it got to 104 degrees in Los Angeles when I was 20!

You just want to crawl into the refrigerator and find it's not big enough...

Amazing bikes!

It's been raining or should I say, drizzling a lot this week. But it keeps the temperature low, so I'm happy.

It's very early for us to crack into triple digits, but not unusual for later in the summer. And to be clear, the thermometer reading was 100, but the new-fangled reports of "feels like" make it even more impressive. In previous years when we had actual temps of 110 in summer, it felt like the devil. I'm off to the shed to retrieve the window air conditioner now!

That's hot. The weather has been erratic this year. My island will be full of those bikes soon.

Holy hell - that got hot quickly!!!!

The good thing about living by the sea, 5 degrees south of the equator is that the weather is stable 22 - 30 degrees over a day every day!!!
Although today has been very mild - about 27/28 I would say.

Stay cool!!!!

Our weather is born to be mild right now, but we'll be hot and humid in a few weeks - yuck. I like the bikes!
