With the end of the traditional Farmer's Market season, we recently learned that it will continue, for the first time, indoors each Thursday afternoon at the Community Center. But I'll miss the beautiful light that filtered through the towering trees of City Park.

Curiosity from viewing the thumbnail on the CDP portal brought me here! I have visited your blog before and enjoy it so much! I have to say I was surprised to find this photo was of garlic...I thought it might be flower petals.
When I saw the picture on the thumbnails, I thought it was shells. What a surprise to see garlic!

I don't think I have ever seen loose garlic like this before. It makes an interesting picture and the texture reminded me of flower petals or perhaps leaves.

Looking at the portal thumbnail I thought they were rose petals, but garlic also makes a beautiful photo!
My Abruzzezi born nono (granpa) used to call it "aroso aroma" of course, he meant the rose of Rome but it came out perfect to me.
How fun to hear all your responses to this! Flower petals, leaves, shells... This was the only market stall that had the cloves loose like this, and they would be sold by weight. The natural light at the market has proven to be a great place for pictures, but such opportunities for this type of look may have to wait until next May to return. Meanwhile, I am happy that there will continue to be vendors indoors.
