Willits High School Hallway

The floor seems to float in the downstairs hallway of the old building at the high school. Generations of Willits Wolverines have had their stories of adolescent drama and despair, played out upon this stage. Hang in there, kids. Your brains are still growing, and better perspective will come soon enough. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I find buidling that shoild be busy eerie when empty. I think it goes back to the Shining. This is very cinematic and the light optimistic.

I've never been in this building yet it's nostalgic for me. You've captured the essence of an era of industrial buildings, mostly schools, in which I spent time growing up in Middle America. I guess the kids are still at it.

It's one of your gems. I love the symmetry, the bright light, the somber dark.

Babzy - I'm glad you liked it.

Babooshka - Thanks, B. I hope it's optimistic.

V - Thank you too, V. That high school age never gets any easier for any generation.

Kym - Thanks, Kym. It was on a weekend, so few were about.

Eric - This was the first time I looked inside, so I snapped the photo quickly.

And P, Thank you so much. My high school was all outdoor hallways with I-beam roofs, built in 1960, I think. It had none of this classic look that movie dramas usually present.

Thanks everyone!

Fantastic! I really like this shot! It somehow reminds me the 'Light at the end of the tunnel' photo I've previously posted! :-)
