The Flower of February

With our daffodils running strangely late, it's nice to see the violets are right on schedule. I caught this one several days ago, before the blessing of rain now falling. Happy Friday the Thirteenth!

Some of my flowering bushes have already come and gone. I think they have been confused by the hot and cold spells we've been having!

There you go again, Elaine... turning a patch from a garden into a MOMA-worthy modern art image. This is so lovely -- with that optimistic posie darting up on the right in all that pretty green.

I'm gushing, again. I love the way you see the world!

I'm glad to see green, with all the drought. Have you gotten any rain? We've had quite a bit, thank goodness.

Halcyon - Flowering plants have mostly been late here, but few are expected right now anyway.

Laurie - You are so nice to me! Thank you! I'm glad you like this. Violets are one of my favorites.

P - I'm enjoying it while we can. Yes, it's raining, hailing, and even snowing, off and on these days. Fingers crossed.

Thanks gals!

Lovely flower! It reminds me of my childhood... We had a huge flower bed full of "violette"!
