Wet Winter Park

In an icy cold morning fog, a figure of mystery is barely discernible through the trees of Recreation Grove.

I checked out your earlier Muffler Man post then enlarged this one. Eek. It's huge!

Otherwise, this is a beautiful, atmospheric photo, Elaine. Love it.

This is a nice photograph. I like the feelings I get from seeing it.

I still have the old blogs but I also have new ones Abe Lincoln Blogs and also look at Abraham Lincoln's Blog

This is eerie but calming. Good capture and I don't see the figure but that's ok . It might spook me!

I almost didn't see the figure of mystery because I was looking for something human-sized. Such a quiet photo. Calm but foreboding. More goodness from your camera and your eye.

Lovely photo as always Elaine, Last few days we had crazy fog and I always wanted to take a picture but I'v been lazy after seeing your wonderful capture I'm hoping for some more fog so I can try and emulate your great work.

It looks like an enchanted forrest. It's the mist ot does that to me.

Wonderful photo! It was interesting to look at this photo this morning before I left for my walk to the carpool to SF and find that we had misty fog just like this today too! Not quite Paris in the snow, but I'll take cold fog any day over snow. Hope things continue to get greener and greener up your way!

I had my wedding reception there many years ago. I was pretty disturb about the mystery figure. Now it just makes me laugh.

Bibi - Thank you.

Hilda - He's a big guy, but the trees are still bigger. 8^)

Abe - You are just a blogging dynamo! Thanks for coming around to visit, especially with so much medical stuff going on.

Virginia - Fog does seem to soften the world, and quiet the noise. He's scary. Don't look.

Chuck - It was colder than it looks.

Amy - I'll just bet you are dancing for joy with your new furnace!

Lynn - Welcome to Willits! You are very kind.

P - I'm almost embarrassed that such a dark mood has greeted your many friends here! Bless.

Sara - Thank you! I saw your opening posts about it, and saw good information at Lahore Daily Photo as well. I'll be back.

Wayne - Thank you!

Suzy - Thank you too! North on 101 for three or four hours should get you here. 6^)

D Rebel - You are too kind! I wish we had anything like the sublime architecture you show on your blog.

Babooshka - One of these days, I hope to find a good patch of real redwood forest to show on the blog, without leaving this watershed. There's so much private land around here, and I have very few landowner connections.

Katie - Thank you! Both conditions can be hazardous on the road, so be careful out there.

Dawson - Thanks for that "local" story on this. I wonder how long he's been there. He certainly doesn't bring romance to mind, so I wouldn't blame a young bride for misgivings.

Ms M - Thank you! I'm trying to get a little bit of everything.

Magiceye - Thank you too!

In fact, thank you all for your kind visits to little Willits.

I think that it's kind of romantic.

Had to really look for that figure of mystery, but then realized I had seen him before on your blog. Like this image very much even without the mystery man. :)
